Electrician

THE POSITION:

Under general direction, to install, maintain and repair high- and low-voltage circuits, motors, controls and equipment.

This is a journey-level position primarily concerned with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical circuits, motors, instruments and control equipment in facilities common to public water treatment and distribution systems. This level of work covers the entire scope of the electrical trade.

SALARY: $120,515.20-$146,473.60 Yearly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

The equivalent of four years of full-time, increasingly responsible journey-level experience in maintaining, installing and repairing a variety of electrical, electronic, and control instrumentation.

License:

Possess and maintain a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

Physical Requirements:

Discriminate among colors required for cable color coding. Work confined spaces and to a height of 40 feet.

Other Requirements:

Must be willing to handle after-hours emergency calls. Must be clean shaven in order to wear respirator protection or other safety equipment to comply with OSHA Rules and Regulations.
