Job Seeker FAQ
How can I rearrange my resume experience, education or certifications by date?
Log into your BC Water Jobs Seeker account. Navigate to your profile. Underneath the resume section you would like to edit, click the grey “+” button to the right to expand the contents. Use the left-hand up and down arrows to move your data up or down based on the content you want to prioritize. We recommend the most recent dates at the top of each resume section. Make sure you click the green “Save” button at the bottom of your resume to save your changes.
How are the Top Jobs determined in my weekly Job Seeker email digest?
Top Jobs are unique to each BC Water Jobs user and are based on the unique profile settings including job category, location, and experience level. All three of these are required profile fields and top jobs matching all three of these search filters are included as Top Jobs in your Dashboard and up to the 5 most recent are included in your weekly email digest. If no jobs match all three of your top jobs search criteria, only Featured Jobs will be included in your weekly email digest.
Can I hide my profile from recruiters if I’m not actively seeking a new job?
Yes! We understand the ebbs and flows of job searches and the secure nature of seeking a new job when you are currently employed. Log into BC Water Jobs, navigate to your profile settings, and click the “Make Private” checkbox underneath your profile photo. This will allow you to continue using the site, favoriting jobs, receiving your weekly job email digest, but will not show your resume to recruiters.
Can I upload my resume?
Of course! You can upload your resume in the “External links and documents” portion of the resume builder in your user profile. Please note that documents are not searchable by keyword across the site, so we recommend using the resume builder in addition to uploading a resume for maximum visibility with active recruiters. Only PDF files are accepted at this time.
How is my resume and profile accessed by recruiters?
Your resume can be viewed by recruiters who are logged into BC Water Jobs. Recruiters have the ability to search candidates by preferred job category, experience level, and desired location. Only resume builder results are searchable – PDF resumes are supplemental and are not searchable.

If your profile was public and then marked as “make private” it will be hidden from any Recruiter dashboards who have favorited your resume as a workforce candidate and in site resume searches within 4 hours. If you uncheck the “make private” box, you will appear in resume searches and on recruiter favorited dashboards again within 4 hours.

This site is made available for public water agencies, water utilities, and nonprofit organizations. Most private companies are not eligible as the purpose of this service is to help public water agencies, water utilities, and nonprofit organizations fill critical positions to advance the water quality and environmental health. Job post submissions that are not for public water agencies, water utilities or nonprofit organizations will be refunded the job credit.
Each job post can only promote one job. Job posts that are for multiple positions will be rejected upon review. Brown and Caldwell reserves the right to refuse any job posting for any reason.

As a logged in recruiter, you may also download resumes from candidates who have uploaded a separate file or choose to connect with them on LinkedIn to keep in touch.
I’m posting on behalf of multiple companies, do I need multiple accounts?
Job posts are connected to recruiters to access from their dashboards, but job post information is stand-alone. We understand smaller companies may outsource hiring or recruiting services and so the site is set up to accommodate that as the industry continues to be pressed with workforce shortages and the financial pressures of doing more with less. You can use multiple credit cards to purchase packages, access payment receipts from the recruiter dashboard, and post jobs for various companies by adding that information into the job post, including the respective company logo.
If you purchase multiple job post packages for multiple companies, the credits will not appear separate in your recruiter account – but you can track your usage based on the purchase history and job post history in the recruiter dashboard.
How can I get a discount for posting multiple jobs?
We recommend purchasing job packages at discounted rates to use as needed. Credits do not expire and will remain connected to your account. Three job packages can be purchased at an 8% discount and 5 job packages are discounted 10% from our traditional $200 per job post pricing. Job posts can be renewed for an additional 30 days for $99 or renewed and featured for an additional $149. See our pricing packages here.
