District Engineer
About the Position:
Responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing the activities and operations of District engineering functions, projects and programs, significant interaction with outside agencies and the general public. This position is also responsible to oversee multi-faceted projects from concept to acceptance including the integration with the O&M programs.
Engineering Department Overview:
The Engineering department is comprised of 3 engineers, 2 inspectors, an engineering technician, and an engineering coordinator. The District has a robust 5-year, $95.6 million Capital Improvement Plan which is comprised of water and wastewater projects.
Qualifications:
- A proven manager with strong communication skills
- and a collaborative approach to leadership.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering,
- planning or management, including at least 5 years of
- management or supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in civil
- engineering or a similar field.
- A California State professional Civil Engineer license
- is required.
Salary Range:
The salary range for the District Engineer is $147,660 to $198,168 annually depending upon experience, with increases each year through June 2026.
